ready or not,

here we go.

We begin our 16th year of homeschooling today.

I am woefully unprepared.
I guess that's what happens when you are in denial
about school starting soon.

The good news is, we start mid week
so we can sorta just e-a-s-e into school,
so I still have a few more days to really get plans firmed up.

Before TKD yesterday,
Brandon took the kids to the library.
If everything falls apart,
at least we have fresh books :-)

  1. I taught school for almost six years, and despite having done it with 20 - 30 kids in a classroom, I have still always admired the home-schooler! Utmost respect and two thumbs up! (If I had more I would hold them up too ; ))

Have fund getting back into the swing of things!

  2. Ugh, I know this feeling! Seems like it happens every year. I'm getting worse not better! But you are so right about the books. :) We will be starting back after Labor Day this year. I'm just going to jump right in with the basics and see what we need to add from there. May you find the grace and inspiration you need for your new school year!

  3. You are amazing. You left a comment on my blog and I have just spent ages reading lots of your last posts. As much as I love the philosophy of homeschooling I just could not do it. not enough patience. Love the honesty in your blog
