here little beach birdies...

I spent a lot of time being entertained by these birds (terns?) 

and their long skinny legs

skittering along the beach.

I kept trying to coax them close,

but without food,

I was unsuccessful.

They did, however, seem to like to hang out in large groups

near large groups of people equipped with coolers,

and made quite a ruckus

begging.

(They

were also unsuccessful.)
