Lexi and the giant blueberry

here's the first of my reconstructed thrift shop finds

this ensemble
used to be a $1.50 ladies turtleneck
and $ . 28 of ribbon and elastic

I love how the blue brightens her eyes.
I only hope she doesn't feel like she's
incarcerated in a giant blueberry
~
I enjoy the challenge of re-purposing clothes
but
- cost aside -
I think I prefer the 'clean slate' of unused fabric

I wish I could see more of the details in how you transformed it. Did you take any 'before' photos of the shirt?...

  6. WE TOO HAVE BEEN EXPERIMENTING WITH REPURPOSING FROM our own closets full of tshirts with stains and such. The latest is a crocheted rug from old tshirt strips for joelle to sit on in her room while she plays.
