debut of a quilt

I figure I spent about 15 1/2 lovely hours
and about 1/2 not-so-lovely hour
on my California Dreamin' quilt

Lexi loves it almost as much as I do

you know I can't leave the back alone;
I've got to add a little surprise

I entered this in the Spring Bloggers' Quilt Festival
if you want to see a few more pictures

  3. oh - I forgot to link to that one....

    I spent a good hour and a half (at various times) with my seam ripper. I didn't mind so much at first ~ but I was getting pretty irritated with myself towards the end....
    and - TWO different times, I sewed for several minutes with NO bobbin thread ~ a nice long string of UN-sewn pieces....

  5. This quilt is a ray of sunshine! I loved seeing it the other day and seeing the surprise on the back. What a great eye you have for colors, but when I saw it the other day, I had no idea there was a special hidden message on your quilt! I would have searched until I had found it if you had just hinted! I LOVE IT! I think I'm going to buy one of those special feet you were telling me about. Wow!
