a gift for me, a gift for you

Lana gave it to me for my birthday
way back in September
but I still haven't actually received it,
because it was just (finally!) released yesterday.

I wanted to give a copy to one of you
but I was going to wait 'til I had the book in my hands,
you know,
so I could decide for sure that ya'll would like it and want one.
I've discovered, though,
that the first two weeks of a book's sales
are crucial to the longterm success of the book.
duh ~ of course that would be the case....
rather than waiting to peruse my own copy,
and because, really,
I'm quite sure One Thousand Gifts would bless
pretty much anyone,
I'm going to go ahead
and gift a copy right now!
Not my birthday book, mind you,
your very own brand spankin' new copy.
To be entered in the drawing for
One Thousand Gifts
simply leave a comment
telling me if you've been anxiously waiting for Ann's book
if this is the first you've heard of it.
I suppose you could have heard of it
but not been eagerly awaiting it's release...
Naw, not likely.

Sunday afternoon sounds good;
I think we'll draw the winner then.

  1. I have never heard of it but what a beautiful cover! It sounds like EXACTLY the type of book I would leave a bookstore with. Just ask my hubby. :)

  2. Where've I been? Never heard of it, but it sounds good. Count me in! (And pick me, ok?)

  3. I've never head of it either, but it sounds like a very interesting book! Please count me in, you tknow how much I need direction in this area.

  4. I have not heard of this book either but I am an avid reader and this sounds like one I would enjoy! Thanks so much for the chance!

  5. I shared the video on the Home School Loop yesterday, if ya'll haven't seen it, watch here, grab some kleenex first! :)

  6. I have not heard of this book, but it sounds especially interesting!
I read alot and would love to read this book.

  7. I had never heard of it before. Who is the author? Has she written anything else?

  8. I was just reading at Heart to Heart with Holly and she was talking about this book. The more I read the reviews and hear it mentioned, the more I feel I should read it - a turning and softening of the heart is needed . So no matter what QL, this goes on my wish list to own and read. I'm so glad you told us about it.
    Fondly, BL

  9. she's written a couple things, Bekah, but i think this is her first of this sort of book... she has a great blog - aholyexperience.com
sometimes very thought provoking, sometimes inspiring, pretty much always beautiful

  10. A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are...I think that is the subtitle. It caught my attention when I was reading the review on Amazon. That sounds lovely. Don't you think we can get so caught up in the "when this happens" in the future and we don't live everyday life like we should? (Does that make any sense?)
    Count me in!

  11. I just started reading her posts at the beginning of Dec. after another blogger had recommended her Jesse Tree Advent devotional. I would love to have a copy of the book...I read the first chapter online and wished I could keep going. :)

Hey, don't forget to enter my giveaway for a great little cookie scoop!
I'd love for you to win it! :)

  12. I can't wait to read it because I love her blog! She's awesome! Thanks for doing this giveaway!

  13. This is the first I've heard of the book, and I'm so excited! Her blog is incredible.

  14. looks like something i'd be much better off having read :) count me in, please!

  15. Had not heard of this book, but it looks and sounds lovely.

  16. Just saw the mention of this book on Rhonda's facebook - she was highly recommending it...so I'm intrigued!!

  17. Have heard of Ann V but not this book....looks like a good read!

  18. Thanks Tracy. I read her blog almost daily because of you. :-) She's one amazing woman!
